BaishanCloud Statement On GDPR Compliance
[Seattle, May 20, 2018]
On May 25, 2018, data privacy in the EU is set to undergo its strictest ever policy change. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) directly affects all companies operating within the European Union, and with the upcoming policy implementation, BaishanCloud is looking to guarantee all clients that any data carried on the BaishanCloud network is in compliance with the GDPR standards.
What is the GDPR
The GDPR is a new set of data privacy requirements that is being enacted across all 28 EU member nations. All companies that collect and process EU citizen data, even if done outside the EU, are required to comply. The new standards allow for end users, customers, and employees to file claims if their data is not properly protected as put forth by the new GDPR. Providers that fail to comply with GDPR are subject to heavy fines imposed by the EU.
BaishanCloud is dedicated to the security of our client’s data and information. We regularly ensure that our platform is in compliance with regulations that not only affect us, but may impact our clients as well. Our secure handling and protection of data does not compromise performance, so clients can rest assured that they are in GDPR compliance without having to worry about seeing a dropoff in the performance they have come to expect from BaishanCloud.
